he Library of Service has existed for nearly five hundred years. Its many branches are tall, sprawling buildings with featureless exteriors of neutral brick; those inside live a cloistered existence.

During the worst years of book-burning, the Library was founded to continue knowledge that might otherwise be lost. Those who swore to be Codexes trained their memories and manners to be perfect. Later, Codexes trained for somatic perfection as well, so that they could model skills and techniques taught by craftsmen. A Codex is a repository of knowledge, but a person of perfect discretion - no Codex would ever name the patrons who reviewed them while they were on duty, or as they call it, in Circulation.

The tradition early on that any forbidden knowledge could be committed to the Library so it would not be lost meant that it was less than a generation after its founding that one of the library collections was devoted to intimacy and pleasure. The Librarians are calm, nonjudgmental, helpful - but only some of them are Codexes themselves, and not all Codexes are Librarians. Anyone who disrespects a Librarian or mistakes them for a Codex is removed from the grounds of the library, permanently. They are not trusted to handle the Codexes if they cannot observe the rules of the library.

Those rules are simple. A Codex is to be used only within a study carrel. Nothing is to be done to the Codex which would take them out of Circulation. Codexes may be asked for by subject or skill, but never by name - any Codex who has memorized a particular field of knowledge is meant to be indistinguishable from others with the same learning. A Codex is to be handled respectfully - any Codex who does not feel a patron abides by their guidelines will have that patron dismissed.

Beyond that, there is no judgment. Librarians record the activities of Patrons but will destroy the records rather than surrender them to any authority. Codexes, of course, remember everything, but their trust is sacrosanct. Their calling is not religious, but it is a serious vocation, and they take it seriously.

Maybe you accidentally knocked over an old witch woman. Maybe somebody you got on the wrong side of at work experiments with hexes. Either way, you've gotten on SOMEBODY'S bad side, and that someone apparently is a huge pervert, because your sex life is about to get REALLY WEIRD. Of course, maybe it's not such a good curse after all, if you like this sort of thing...

Warning: these prompts can get into dub-con or non-con, so caveat emptor.

Usual meme rules go here:

RESULTS:

7. Sexual Clumsiness Curse: Gee, these curses are awfully passive. Maybe you're actually the sort of person who likes to get a bit of something on the side on a regular basis! Unfortunately, you are now the most inept fucker that ever existed. Literally.

8. Pregnancy Curse: Maybe you suddenly really wanna get pregnant. Maybe you suddenly ARE pregnant. ~~Don't ask how it works if you're a dude, you probably don't wanna know.~~ Or maybe you just meet someone who really wants to get YOU pregnant. Either way, babbies. ...or maybe eggs. Yikes.

9. Stuck Curse: There you are, minding your own business, when SOMEHOW you manage to get stuck in something. Like a hole in the wall, or whatever. Unfortunately, the curse is such that rather than help you out, you get someone who decides to take advantage of the situation. Whoops.

10. Interruption Curse: Masturbating? Having sex? Getting dressed? Somebody's going to walk in no matter what! The question is, does it end there, or do they suddenly want to join in?

11. Associate Curse: "But I mean really, who believes in curses, right Bob? Ha ha ha... why are you looking at me like that?"

12. Genderswap Curse: Guys turn into girls! Girls turn into guys! Who gives a fuck if it's mental or physical! Either way, regardless of your record before, THAT'S when you run into everybody who's looking for sex...

The Court of Night Blooming Flowers

The Night Court is the casual name for the 13 houses of Mont Nuit in the City of Elua
where the Servants of Naamah worship and ply thier trade.
Elua's blessed principle is 'Love as thou wilt' but love can take many forms.
These houses see to each and every shade and color of Elua's principle.
Pay a house fee and take your pick, but remember to leave a patron gift if you have been well pleased by Naamah's gifts.

How it Works

1. Comment with your character/s. Put their name and canon along with preferences in the subject space.
2. Others will tag with their character and the house they have chosen from the list.
3. Your character can either be visiting the house or working as one of Naamah's servants.
4. Play nice! Or naughtily, if you happen to be in Valerian or Mandrake house.

The 13 houses are essentially brothels, although religiously affiliated ones, so sexual situations are to expected. Also some houses lend themselves to more triggering fare so please be respectful of each other and talk it out with your RP partner if there are problems with a scenario.

The Midwinter Masque

On the Longest Night Cereus House hosts the Midwinter Masque, an elite and private function that all the houses attend in grand costume. The guests of the house are those chosen by each house's Dowaynes and of the highest status. Royalty, political leaders, high ranking officials. All of these are likely to attend and on the Longest Night no coin is exchanged. It is a night of revelry and gaiety spurred on by the evening's drink of choice. Joie a clear, potent liquor made from a rare and exquisite white flower served in small crystalline glasses by the youths of the House.

If you'd like to play by the rules of the Masque, please make note of it in your post!

The 13 Houses of the Night Court

1. Alyssum - The House canon is modesty. Their motto is "with eyes averted", and the servants here are well suited to acting shy, modest, and slightly uncomfortable with their own desires. If you wish your lover to tremble and blush with shame when you reveal their nakedness, this is your destination.

2. Balm - The House canon is compassion. Their motto is "rest and be soothed". Those who need healing and soothing through gentle touch and companionship may come here. These adepts are also the most skilled at massage of all the houses.

3. Bryony - The House canon is cupidity and the desire for money. Their house is more of a carnival of wonders, where you may gamble with your desires in a game of will and wits. Be careful what favors you gamble with though, for the adepts who work here are said to rarely lose.

4. Camellia - The House canon is perfection. Those who work here are physically perfect, without flaw, and as such they are considerably more proud of their station. Perhaps haughty and brilliant would best describe the adepts who reside here.

5. Cereus - The House canon is fragility, their motto "all lovliness fades". The youthful and delicate serve here, those who hold their beauty for a fleeting moment. Cereus also has the distinction of being the oldest of all the houses. The adepts here are ones who know the value of living for the present and making each moment count.

6. Dahlia - The House canon is dignity and regality. All those who serve in Dahlia house conduct themselves as royalty, with the proper mannerisms, decorum, and attitude.

7. Eglantine - The House canon is performance. Those who serve here are skilled in the arts of singing, dancing, and poetry and can perform together or privately for their patrons.

8. Gentian - The House canon is purity of spirit. The adepts here can read visions and dreams, and may reveal things that hold great meaning to those they share their knowledge with.

9. Heliotrope - The House canon is love and devotion. Their motto is "thou and no other". It is said that when one lies with an adept from Heliotrope, they shall make you feel as if you are the only one who has ever touched their hearts.

10. Jasmine - The House canon is sensuality. Their motto is "for pleasure's sake" and the experience is pure hedonism. Adepts are said to be the most exotic of all the houses, and they emphasize this in their dress.

11. Mandrake - The House canon is sadism and dominance. The motto is "yield all". Adepts are Mandrake are trained to dominate those who come seeking such release, using skills and tools to bestow plain and pleasure. A signale is arranged beforehand that patrons can use should they ever wish to stop their session.

12. Orchis - The House canon is mirth, it's motto "joy in laughter". Adepts from this house are joyful people who believe in fun above all else. They are quick with a grin and a game, and skilled in making their patrons smile.

13. Valerian - The House canon is submission, the motto "I yield". Adepts are trained from childhood to experience pain with all pleasure and pleasure with all pain. They also have a signale they can use if they need to stop.

The classic party game I'm sure we all know, but we're playing it a little differently this time, so I'll go over the rules.

1: Post a top level with ship preferences, etc.
2: Respond to other people by saying "Truth or Dare?"
3: If they say Truth, you can ask them anything and they have to answer honestly. If they say dare, you can tell them to do anything and they have to do it.
3.5: If a dare is something the player isn't comfortable with, they can veto it, but that's only OOCly
4: To keep things sexy, every time you pick truth you also have to take off an article of clothing.
5: If you're out of clothes, you cannot pick truth anymore.

There is a closet with a bunch of different sexy toys and outfits in the corner, couches for seating, and beds off to the side for those what want 'em. Also everyone has been offered name tags, if they want them.

Here, in your own kingdom, you can do what you want: take your shirt off, get rid of your shoes, and eat the grossest food available just because you can.

Not only has your character found themselves in the home they want - not the one they were born into, forced to live in, or otherwise - they're also domestic...er, as much as certain people can be, which is perhaps not at all. But worry not, the meme has options that can make it make sense for even the most homicidal yet strangely nonchalant half-god alien demon hunter giant slayer to settle down. Oooor something like that. Like banging the cleaning lady or using his partner so he cans teal their energy to get stronger.

Isn't domesticity grand?

You'll be have tons of time for a special sort of togetherness, but don't let all that steam cloud up your mind. There are still other things involved in having a home! You have to do chores, visit others, and take care of business. Nothing says you can't combine a bit of play into all that, though. Just hope that the two of you don't get mad at each other!
